I would guess it to be 'mucor'(black pin mold) but can't be sure. FedEx it to Moe, maybe he can nail down positive i.d.

Ahh.. though i can't identify it I can sure sympathise with you.. I experienced this nasty stuff that doesn't smell and seems to be capable of hiding in the core of cakes.

I've never seen it before I had it but perhaps I can shed some more light on what it looks like. It comes out like concrete balls of muddy grey stuff.
