I've not been able to acquire an adequate prognosis on the general cultivation forum, so I'm turning to you guys for help. AFOAF has a small successful batch of EQs working on their 5th flush (It's her first time, so bare w/ her)... The cakes were done standard PFTek (double-cased) and allowed to pin invitro, then birthed and cased into a perlite-humidified terr. The dunk tek is being employed between flushes, as well as fresh casing. No signs of contamination have been present in the approx. month since birthing (not bad for a first-timer,aye?).... Thing is, every flush (per cake) has been small w/ no fruit exceeding 1 1/2 inches long at ripeness. They pin profusely, yet have never produced a large sporocarp suitable for sporing. One thing though: the tiny to small fruit that have been harvested on each flush are EXTREMELY potent. 2 or 3 of the tiny things (weighing NO MORE than 2 g) had a 220lb grown man gasping for breath.... What MAY be causing the diminished growth?

A couple guesses are: 1. The strain? 2. Not enough fresh air?

Are these the same EQ's that you are trying to trade in the spore exchange forum? If so you may want to wait until you actually have the prints before you try to trade. Dioze1

I could see a foaf being rather disappointed at a few flushes of EQs measuring at the max one and a half inches. Tell your friend to go work on his/her tek or get them a friggen pod for Christmas. Leaf

are your air exchanges frequent enough? how about light, how much are you giving? do you have any way of measuring the humidity in your terrarium? is it completely sealed?

No way of measuring humidity AOY... Receiving around 12 hrs of indirect light daily, and it is sealed...

I gotta admit, I think it's just the particular EQ spores you got that time. Try that strain again from a different spore print. Leaf
