Henderson controlled where the fight was, the pace of the fight, and the grappling the whole fucking fight. Just because you're on your back doesn't mean shit. He was going for the sweep and Jackson was defending, which means HENDO should be scoring the points.

No I'm not although I have been asked to join the team (Several of my MMA coaches are also the wrestling coaches).  I do go to the same University as Henderson, and I train under Henderson's old wrestling partner and the guy he, Couture, and Lindland all learned MMA with.  Our camp is basically the minor league for Team Quest.  Several coaches and students go to Team Quest several times a year to prepare for their own fights or help Team Quest guys prepare for theirs. 

I see a lot of similarities and some downright exact techniques Henderson uses that I feel are rather localized to our gym here... not that other people won't do them but it's just kind of our calling card, you know?

ASU, home of the only wrestling team to be cut and re-instated in less than two weeks   We do have some great wrestlers and coaches around so it was a huge shock when they canceled the program at first.

My coach went to a lot of international wrestling tournaments (Turkey, Greece, Cuba to name some places) with Lindland, Henderson, Couture, Gardner, etc.  Since my coach was also doing Muay Thai they trained a lot together back in the day when Couture was first doing UFC stuff.  Lots of cool pictures in his photo album, that's for sure.  (By the way he claims 9/10 times Henderson would beat Couture.)

A few examples of commonly practiced techniques from our gym I've seen in Henderson's style (well besides the obvious greco-roman shit) are sweeps (like the kimura sweep), shovels (he's one of the best in the business at holding on to or spinning off of someone), and the way he punishes people when he's grappling.  His grappling isn't smooth and swift like say a Gracie or something it's more of a wrestlers idea of overpowering, digging, and working hard to get what you're going for.  If someone takes an elbow in the jaw or you gotta grind your fist into a neck on the way to a move, so be it.
