if Kimbo beats Thompson at least we know he can take out lower-level MMA fighters. I bet James tries to stand up with him and gets brutally KO'd. more importantly, Kimbo vs Tyson would be the most entertaining fight I've ever witnessed (not necessarily on a skill level), and will bring MMA more attention than anything Dana White will ever put together.

In name alone this match should be cool, but neither guy impress me....

Kimbo:  He's fought nobody. Less then nobody. He's fought Ray "mid 40's boxer" Mercer, Bo "Can I have my paycheck?" Cantrell, and Tank "What he said, but extra zeroes" Abbott.

James Thompson: He's been KO'd by Tengiz Tedoradze, Aleks in :11 seconds, Fujita, Rob Broughton, Butterbean, Neil Grove, and Brett Rogers. Dude has a jaw made out of stained glass.  Its like one of those big church windows. The only thing he might have going for him is  he is with Randy's crew now

This is defiantly a battle for the ages.. :rotfl:

Shit they want to give Kimbo a good money making fight put his ass in there with Butterbean, and let them smack the living shit out of each other.. :box:

That's true Butterbean would be funny for Kimbo because he could take a lot more punches. I just think it's going to be funny because whoever lands the first hard right will probably win.

And I want to see Kimbo's chin get tested by someone who can throw a hard punch.

I know this is kind of semantics, but Tenzig is a pretty solid fighter.



I pick Thompson to win. But then again, Kimbo has the absolute best trainer in MMA in his corner. I'm sure Bas is cooking up something.

in the fight where he knocked the guy's eye almost out, he took some solid shots with an outstretched chin bareknuckle on purpose that didn't even move his head. not saying he is Mark Hunt or Fujita, but I dont think the chin will be much of an issue. time will tell.

fight should have been stopped when kimbo wasn't defending himself on the ground for a full minute...even though they looked like shitty elbows from thompson's part...

but wow, it was a fucking bullshit fight. stopping the fight cause of a burst cauliflower ear?

i was going for kimbo but i think thompson won the fight...elite xc couldn't risk their posterboy losing it seems...

wasn't too impressed by the elite xc show.

Thompson was winning that fight. Kimbo had some good flurries but for the most part Thompson was taking him down, and controlled allot of the action..

Kimbo's beard took allot of the punishment so thats why they didn't stop it.  :rotfl:

Kimbo was just laying there, not moving as Thompson rained down 40 of the softest thrown elbows in the history of MMA.  Where the fuck was Herb Dean to stop that carnage.  :lol:

The ear exploding made that fight seem all worth it. :yesnod:

Judges had Kimbo winning rd 1 and 2. Apparently, they were using pride criteria.

And that fight should not have been stopped in the second round(or third round). Fuck stopping the fight because someone is throwing shitty strikes from the crucifix position. If you have gotten yourself in a position where your opponent cannot finish you then you should be intelligently defending yourself as far as the shitty SAC rules are concerned.
