elite xc is fucking great!!! Tank vs Kimbo

now the UFC has finally realized freak-show matches it what the public wants to see. sure fill a card with skilled fighters and matches that actually make sense but the public wants to see scores settled. can this crazy guy with a reputation beat another crazy guy with a reputation. finally the ufc brings in brock as a freak and sells more ppvs than EVER! even after years of making fun of pride for their fights. dana's thick bald skull finally realized the power.

what a great card for an up and coming promotio

eliteXC has taken this to a new level and made the ULTIMATE freak-show fight. who is the baddest brawler in the usa. not a technical display of amazing skills, an all out fucking war of brawlers. now with the hype i am actually looking forward to this so much. (not more than seeing s=snderson LIVE at 82 with my ticks). however this fight has hype around it that has reached the general public. so who is coming out on top. the best parti s that this fight is free on showtime, no ppv, and everyone has all the premium channels at this point. an amazing deal. plus the card is full of highly skilled mmaists to make the hardcorw fabs happy like me, just like pride did.



so i want every shroomery keyboard mma warrior and fan off mma. im sick of people weighing in and not making thier picks. i dont care if u dont wann pick the main card, but everybody pic the kimbo fight. anybody willing to go for an old school mma screenname bet if their wrong??

I know all you hard-core MMA guys think Kimbo is a joke. And certainly he wouldn't stand up against the guys at the top of the UFC.

But I would really hate to get hit by one of those punches. I've seen so many people just crumple after 1-2 of those.

I don't think he's a joke, I think he's a great street fighter that's willing to take a punch to give one back harder.

That however isn't exactly so much a "technique" that tends to work at elite levels. That being said I don't see Kimbo getting knocked out anytime soon, but it'll be a long while before he'll have enough of a submission game to fight with the elites.

he is willing to work. knowing bas rutten im sure kimbo is set with his goals already and both of his trainers work on him hard... as for now he should work a lot on sprawling and scrambling and defence against submissions that should root him hard in his game... few more decent opponents and would love to see him against guys like frank mir etc.

I think that most hard-core MMA guys (not hard-core ultimate fighting guys) don't think Kimbo is a joke. Many others, including myself, actually enjoy the "freakshows" especially when they aren't terrible. The sport is still mixed martial arts and many hard-core fans can appreciate matches which showcase style, size, skill, etc. disparities.

I liked the event and was really glad Kimbo, but mostly edwards won their fights. I was disapointed Silva didn't do better but it was nice to see that Ricco is showing some future promise of a decent comeback. I also felt bad for JT.
