Personally if I get into a fight I hate getting kicked, let alone other shit. I don't know, I just grew up that you just threw punches.

But then again, maybe I should change my ways to get my ass whooped a little less often.

You'd have definately gotten your ass kicked around where I came from. Regardless of your fighting ability, in (almost always) drunken brawls around my neck of the woods anything and everything was fair game.

Set up 1 on 1 fights were a little more organized, basically no cheap shots (Biting, eye gouges, nut shots ((although some people apparently didn't share this value, I think it's universal for all guys)) ect)

And then we had our boxing/MMA fights just for fun.

hehe that reminds me of something.  About 6-7 years ago(highschool), me and a few guys started an official fight club.

It was done quite nicely.  We had a set of rules all written up for everyone(basically all the rules of the UFC plus a few added ones), 4oz gloves, judges and a referee(with a classic referee shirt no less :wink:).  Every friday night, friends fought friends and it was always great sportsmanship and a lot of fun.

It started gathering attention from the other highschools who would come by and try to just start trouble...which then led to the cops taking notices which then led to us immediately calling it quits.  :thumbdown:

It was going great.  We started having regular fighters, me being one of them, in different weight classes and all.

To bad for people having to be dumbasses and ruin a good sport we had going for awhile.

Hah, sounds like something that happened at a rival high school while I was in high school still.  Apparently they were doing something like this and started taping it.  Well someone leaked the tape to the school board and they sent down a whole shit ton of suspensions (none of it was on school property or anything, I don't see how they managed this).

But anyway, we thought it was funny, and made sure nobody brought cameras to our fun :grin:

Yeah, camera's are definetely not a good idea. I don't understand how they could suspend kids either, when not on school time or property.

We didn't tape anything thank goodness, but another highschool, mainly this one on the other side of town started showing up and just causing trouble. Trying to fight everyone and just ruining everything me and the other guys put together.

We would disclose a location on Friday at school(setting up matches all week) and it would always start at 7pm somewhere private, but accessible so that we could get a good turn out.

But yea, it sucked having to shut it down. It's a good thing too, because afterwards me and the 2 other guys who started it were pulled into the office multiple times, along with some of the "regular" fighters, trying to get something out of us. They didn't have shit luckily, but like you said, how can they have the right to take action anyway? Such bullshit.
