New Moderators (Welcome WiskyClone & Suimush)

As most regular visitors and contributors to the Pub already know, rules are very important in any online community forum. Considering the size of the Pub, it is especially important that rules be consistently enforced and followed.

I am sure many of you have noticed that the forum rules are very loosely followed. In many cases, this lack of adherence to the stated rules is accepted by visitors and often goes unnoticed by our few moderators.

The forum has grown tremendously over the years and the need for constant and increased moderator presence is necessary. Therefore, in order to ensure that the Pub will continue to be a place where people can feel comfortable interacting with others and participating in intelligent conversation, we ask for your help in our search for more moderators.

Here is how the process will work:

-You may nominate a fellow pub regular based on qualifications, time spent in the Pub forum, and general integrity as well as other relevant factors.

-You may nominate yourself.

-You may share a few words about why you or the person you are nominating is qualified to fill the position.

While we will consider all nominations, the final decision will rest with the current moderators and administrators. Tenure within the community, time zone, and other factors will also be taken into consideration.

Nah, I dont really have any overwhelming desire to be a mod, but I do spend a ridiculous amount of time on here, and I would love to see the old pub back. Someone needs to put a stop to the OTD nonsense that seems to have creeped its way in here.

:lol: I doubt it, I'm pretty sure some of the shit I say is why some people want more mods.

Edit: Not that I think I'm cool or provocative, it's just that sometimes I say things and completely expect to catch a ban, and I'm completely surprised when I don't. I blame that on the lack of mods at certain times.

I would certainly be willing to do it and have prior moderator experience (as well as admin experience).  Considering the time I spend on here, it'd be feasible.  I'm not sure if 3 years and almost 4k posts is sufficient tenure though, that's not for me to decide.

I just wanted to put my bid up there, because I want to give back the the community that means so much to me :heart:

I've been hear since 98 about the time Moe Howerd was around and spore wars where going on..I would love to do it as I don't have a real job and would have alot of time to help out..

I would like to be a Pub moderator.

My time here at the Shroomery forums was started in 2002.

The one thing I like about the pub is the ability it has to have general open conversations. A well moderated forum without gross tyranny will benefit all members and their well being.

I would like to nominate myself.

I feel that I should be a Pub moderator because I am more intelligent than the average person. I am physically and mentally superior to everyone on this site. I am currently studying Law and I have a 4.0 GPA; for safety reasons I will not list the university I attend.

I love psychedelics, and I love having power. If given the power, I can control a large number of people. I guarantee everyone will respect my authority, and I would be the most loved moderator in the world.

Pick me if you want a good Moderator.
