Just about every forum on the internet has rules and moderators, and they're there for a reason.  They make for a better experience.  Who wants to sift through pages and pages of spam, flames and duplicate threads?  This is a new concept to you?

OTD has the fewest rules, you might like it.  If you don't, there are lots of other websites out there.

You don't have to be butthurt or fragile to report flaming.  It's just taking out the trash.  If everybody looks the other way at flaming and doesn't notify anyone, people get used to flaming with no consequences.  The Pub in particular only exists because people wanted to have a laid-back place for threads with no flaming. 

If you want to see what it looks like when flaming is allowed to run rampant, go to OTD. 

Five or six years ago there was no Pub at all, anybody who wanted to talk about anything that wasn't related to a specific forum had to post it in OTD, then scroll through pages and pages of flames and scat to find useful responses.  We don't want that here.  Anybody that reports flaming is helping out.  Ignoring flaming doesn't make you some kind of Charles Bronson tough guy.
