What're some good add-ons? Is there anything that upps the scroll-rate?

My Firefox browser often doesn't show the correct address in the address bar, after clicking on a link the address often doesn't change. Any ideas why?

Watch out, too many plugins can slow FF.

Yes, FF is the shit. If you are used to IE its very easy to use FF, so its no three week nightmare like switching to Linux stuff is to many.

A plugin I like a lot is FlagFox, which shows you which country the server is located in. It helped me see through some very clever spoof sites.

And then DownThemAll when you're stripping an entire website of lets say umm.. wildlife photography.

VideoDownloader captures YouTube etc videos from many sites.

FasterFox, name sez it all.

Yes, Mozilla Firefox is way better than Internet Explorer. My favorite add-on is ScribeFire and my favorite theme is Midnight Fox.

what do you suggest? im not incredibly intelligent in the world of computers. i would love to get away from windows, i refuse to get vista, this computer is still running great, but ill probably get a new one in about 1-2 years. i want some experienced opinions as to what i should do outside of windows, ive heard good things about linux, but how easy is it to switch from windows to linux?
