Has anyone tried the Flash 9 plugin for Firefox on Linux?
    #6204168 -

I am using FF 1.5.0.7 and I'm on Slackware. Kernel 2.6.17.11. I am on an Athlon XP64.. which MIGHT be the cause. My problem is that going to the Shroomery login page crashes Firefox if I'm using the plugin.

Audio and video are now in sync but the main problem I'm having other than the above is that it hangs Firefox sometimes. I haven't heard of anyone experiencing problems yet, and I have not tried Firefox 2.0.

If anyone can share their experience with it, please do. Here's a link to it:

firefox 1.5.0.7 on ubuntu 2.6.15-27-686 and fc5 - both with the new flash 9 (but neither with firefox 2.0), and working fine.

i know there are some problems w. flash and ubuntu 64, so it might be something similar..

I have it installed with firefox 1.5.0.7 & ubuntu & arch linux. works fine for me, although every once in awhile a video will crash firefox, but not that often. it's worth it because I no longer have the audio/visual sync problem. I use adblock, so I dont see the ads here (or anywhere) if that is what you are referring to.

there's a thread in the sci-fi forum about linux flash beta.

I've heard similar issues with a 64 bit flash. From what I remember, it hasn't been made yet, so don't expect the 32-bit version to work.
