Matisyahu - GOOD GOOD AWESOME REGGAE

anyone else heard this guy?

i think hes jewish, but he TEARS up the fuckin room with awesome reggae.

most of his songs are longer than 8 minutes and some close to 20 minutes.
and they arent the same shit over and over again like most people, this guy fuckin bumps the house.

and i can upload some more, his myspace doesnt have the best of his stuff though as far as im concerned.

still, this guy deserves more attention!

i have a live album of his called "Live at Stubbs"

fuckin amazing...

right now im listening to his Youth Dub album...
good so far, loving the dub aspects of it, though i dont think ive yet to hear a song of his that doesnt have some form of dub in it.
or a song of his that i dont like, for that matter.

it has a "rock" edge/feel to it. A more contemporary/modern take on reggae (as opposed to the other sub-genres you mention)

some of his songs are hiphop-like, some of them are roots-like, most of his songs have some Dub in them, and he has an entire CD dedicated to Dub.

he is a very variable artists as far as reggae, but everything sounds great to me. real chill fluid music with great messages.

I compare a lot of style similarities in his music to bands like Sublime, Marley, Capleton.
