Just saw this guy live on a show in the UK called Later With Jules Holland. Dont know the name of the track but it was awesome...he's a Jewish rapper playing Reggae. But they're a proper band, guitar/bass/drums are shit hot. As is his beatboxing. Gonna check some stuff out just now...Well worth a look, some of the most interesting stuff I've heard in ages.
Anyone else familiar?

I've been listening to Youth almost non-stop since I bought it early last week. Literally, it's the only thing I'm listening to right now. It bumped Sufjan Stevens' "Illinoise" and Tool's "10000 Days" both right off my heavy rotation list.
Totally bad ass... his rhythms are so tight, and it has a ton of replay value as I slowly learn the lyrics.
I am going to pick up Live at Stubb's soon...

You can also download his album called Arise...Shake off the Dust. Studio version of most of the songs on Live at Stubbs. Great artist!

I personally like Live At Stubbs better than his studio stuff.

Youth is a bit hard to get into for some people, there might have been too much (I actually enjoy it) production put into it and that weird people out when listening to a roots sort of music.
Live @ Stubbs is definitely the best though, his live show has so much energy between him and the crowd. I actually teared up on the train to work listening to that CD. I kind of wish he wouldn't push his beliefs so much in the live show itself though, even if it's what he's passionate and wants to sing about.

I think he should. Im not Jewish but they have some fukin deep beliefs that i totally agree with and those beliefs are the reason he creates his music. Thats the way he expresses his love for god and i respect that 100%.

Well that's easy for you to say when you agree completely with his beliefs. I have strong feelings toward god but I'd rather people didn't put so many titles on it because it seperates a lot of us. I don't get pay to pray.

I think what he meant was that it was his belief that inspired much of the music, so it's understandable that those beliefs are very present in performance because that is what the music is all about.
