About a month ago I received some Leonurus sibiricus seeds, and I thought it was to late in the year to plant them, so I just planted a couple. It has grown well, and will probably be planted in my garden when I move in several weeks time, as it is a perennial.

I?ll be interested to test what the flowers of this plant are like to smoke, as I haven?t heard much about it, as everyone seems to be interested only in wild dagga at the moment (which I will grow next year).



Notice how the leaves are becoming less webbed and more like fingers as it develops.

Yes- it would be very interesting to here about the effects of this plant when smoked. I believe it grows and spreads like a weed in the garden - if you let it self-seed. Looks like a very nice looking plant also, I haven't considered growing this plant up till now, but you have inspired me to give it a go.

How hard are these guys to grow?

I'm growing Leonurus leonotis and once it got up to about 3 feet the leaves started to curl and die at the tips because it outgrew its pot. I repotted it last week and it was looking better, but then the 2 main stems fell over(due to wind and rain) and I had to tie them up.

So in other words... if it's anything like Leonurus leonotis, I may or may not grow it.

I believe it is similar to Leonurus leonotis, although I haven't grown it yet they seem quite similar. So far I haven't had any problems, and I'll be moving soon to a place with a garden, so I'm not planning to repot, just gonna let it grow wild along with some Leonurus leonotis maybe next year.

Leonurus Cardiaca is a farely hardy plant so id assume that other Leonurus would be similar.
