The humidity levels have been pretty dry for the last week to 10 days in central Florida. We are expecting some rain today plus I've been monitoring the humidity levels and they are on the rise
So, in about 4 or 5 days we should be seeing some in central florida again.

I found about 40 wet grams about ~2.5 weeks ago NE of tampa. Since then it's been dry.

well, we got some much needed rain in Central FLA last night, with an expected humidity of 74% and highs in the mid 80's, things may be shaping up better than i expected. We will see.

Yah,
Even though we got a small amount of rain yesterday in central Florida - the humidity level which is currently 33% in Orlando 47% in Christmas is still pretty low. You can feel the dry air outside.
It might be a week or so - we need more gulf moisture!

They are growing right now, that is for certain.
And in decent enough of numbers if you know where to look.
The humidity that most people do not notice is not even in the form of rain, and it happens when you are asleep.
It is good enough weather for them right now.
It should be a really strong summer season this year.
Walk outside between 2 and 6AM, the lawns have water droplets on them, the cars are dripping with moisture and frogs come out to enjoy it.
They are there right now, but you have to know where to look.

Have you ever found Fly Agaric mushrooms up there near Pensacola?
I know they grow up there, during the winter, under Pines.
Amanita muscaria var. I'm not certain.
If I got my hands on some of those specimens I would figure out which variation it is.

Hey all (first post). First off, wonderful community you've got here, but yeah, I checked a few fields in the central Florida area earlier today/this evening with no results, though I'm admittedly new to the whole experience. I'm pretty excited about the prospect of such an adventure, and thus, attempting to learn reasonably quickly. Anyway, I thank you all for creating such a community.
