Being intolerant to your best friend's beliefs seems pretty cool of you. You must be cool, are you cool?

Everyone tells him he is unhappy, and a bad person because he hasn't "found god", and now he is buying into it.

oh god, thats horrible. i cant believe people are telling HIM that hes unhappy... you would think, you would be able to tell when you yourself are unhappy. i dont need a motherfucker to tell me if im unhappy.

when i was in high school, i hung out with this dude all the time and smoked weed. he ate mushrooms numerous times though we never tripped together. he ended up going to that jesus camp thing and coming back BRAINWASHED!!! completely different person. that was a strange summer. a few people i know, including some slutty chick and her retarded older brother went to the same camp, and came back completely changed. i dont know what they do to people there, but it sure changes people.

i cant stand this dude anymore. all he does it talk about jesus this, jesus that. (haha reminds me of little nicky "jesus this moses that, abraham hit me with a wiffle ball bat") anyway, i hate when people try to force their shit on me. i dont force my beliefs or lack-of beliefs on people.

At least you're friend didn't become a raulian and try to buy a human cloning kit off ebay.

Be happy with the hand you were dealt.

Is there a good story behind this?

have you ever considered maybe it isn't brainwashing? Maybe the person who was changed actually made the decision themselves? It's not unheard of.

No one is getting rich at those sorts of things. There are people who genuinely care, and think that they've found a pretty good way, and think that other people could benefit from hearing about and accepting this way.
Nothing gets "forced" on anybody.
