I have a 1987 mercedes 300d and a 1986 chevy truck that used to belong to the power company.

I love them both, they are running on biodiesel and I do most of my own work on them.

Pwned? Not quite. They just go one day, it's not like judging the life of a AA. Where's your mileage at? 50-70k is the typical point. I have a friend that worked at a dealership that made a killing doing the pack on the prius. As in there was ALWAYS at least one there getting it done. Not covered under warranty and the repair is in the 7k range(although I heard as low as 4k). Not out to get ya, just pointing out the facts.

'83 vw rabbit diesel, '74 vw beetle with a 1915cc turbo engine(recently blew up). I also drive(but do not own) a '92 mercury grand marquis when my vw's are broken.

I'd kill for an old Rabbit! I'm so jealous.

I have a '94 turquoise Jetta. Nothing special about it except my license plate says egg =)

Gas here is almost 3.70 a gallon so I'm really trying to find a smaller car.

My wife just bought this 80 Bronco to be our camping/diving weekend cruiser. And then my daily driver car died, so this is my primary transport till I buy another cruiser off Craigslist. I can't afford to drive the Bronco everyday. V8, 302.

I had a friend that had one of these when they first came out, he
was driving and his tail lights went out, he stopped to make a
left and a porsche came speeding down the road, hit a small rise
and climbed in through the hatch, pinned him to the steering
wheel, he came out pretty much unscathed
