My 4/20 Weekend (The Revolution Festival)

So i went to deerfields in North carolina this weekend. Im gonna give you guys a brief overview. Upon arriving the vibe is kinda weird. Long narrow roads that go deep into the forest kinda freak me out, but the scenery is beautiful.




So we finally make it to the entrance after about 20 minutes of driving into the woods.

There was also this giant sign saying we couldnt have drugs or bottles and all kinds of shit. i didnt bother taking a picture, but it made the situation even more sketchy than before.

5 minutes later we emerge into the beautiful apple orchard



Everyone is really nice and they all say hello and introduce themselves it was really cool. A couple of hundred yards away there is a cabin, we are told to go in and sign up. Her's a picture of the wall in the cabin.


After a brief ticket fiasco we are free to move about the grounds. This place is so gorgeous it defies words, at this point im just trying to take it all in. Plus there are hot hippie chicks galore.



We found this primo camping spot right next to a brook.



This was our neighbors campsite directly in front of us. Within 10 minutes of us being there they offered us a smoke and a drink and some acid. It was a great day


The first night was non stop booze, weed and drum n' bass, we danced until the sun came up


Day2:
Woke up to rain, being all fucked up, we forgot to bring our shit in the tent so it all got wet and it was miserable. I didnt bother taking pictures until it stopped raining and got sunny. Dj Lord ripped it up early morning.


Through out the day we drank, smoked and wandered around between the three stages. We heard a few dubstep sets and some sweet jungle. I overdid it that night so i didnt get any pictures, but man was it wild.

Day 3: 4/20
Woke up early to some ambient Drum'n'bass, it rained off and on and we gathered wood. while gathering i found this little octopus mushroomy thing. We cooked breakfast listened to some dubstep, and traded these chicks a few gel tabs for some bud.




Unfortunately they shut it down long before 4:20 so we just blazed a few blunts of jack herer on the ride home.
Overall this was a poorly organized 2 day long rave, and was the best thing ive ever attended. I will be back next year, and hopefully i can bring some shroomerites with me. This is the perfect spot for a gathering.

I found out about on here actually, and it was shut down by the security that runs the grounds. It wasnt too well put together from the start so the fact that they shut it down early isnt a surprise. Probably for lack of artists. I think it'll be much bigger next year. Im gonna be spreading the word.
