you dont really need to look for females, just look for males and cull them asap unless u want seeds, chances are anything thats not a male will be a female :tongue2:

i am aware that it's a male, i meant i didn't see pistils on other plants but saw nuts on this one, so i was guessing males show their sex first? the rest are almost sure to be fems?

Yup, males. i was fortunate enough to have a female on my very first plant i grew. It's flowering now and i can't wait to see the final results!

Males do tend to show sex first. I agree with Zinglons. Just keep an eye out for the males. The females become very obvious, very soon. It is only a few days difference in my experience. That being said, I have seen females before the males showed, but that is not the norm for me.

Really? I just broke the "bible" out and it appears what you say is true for most strains. I am wondering if this is the case on the magnification level or just the obvious eyeballing. Why is it I see males first?

From my experiences it's easier to tell females first because they have a tendency to shoot out some pre-flowering pistils before flowering is induced if you veg for long enough.

9 times out of 10 I can tell males from females before starting flowering, and the few times I've questioned them because I couldn't see anything they've almost always turned out male.

Or it could be a Hermaphrodite. That happened to me once. If you plan to collect the pollen make sure thats not the case or all t he seeds will be herme's.
