Universal Ban on Bad Grammar

Doesn't it just make your skin crawl to see a "your" where you should see a "you're" or "to" when it's obvious that "to" is appropriate... or to see a simple word like "psychedelic" spelled "pscychadelic" or "psikadelic" or "psychidilic" ? isn't that annoying? it irks the hell out of me. i propose that any person who posts an original thread full of misspellings, grammatical errors, etc. should have their post locked and a small note attached that reads: "lern how to spel, slime-for-brains!" hear!! hear!!

hey give us grammaticly impaired a break,

its a long hard road to recovery.

i, myself have been attending a 12 step program to help cure my evil ways.
i attend session bi-weekly at the chat writers anominouse group . but i still have a long way to go....just look at how i spelled anominouse, thats should say it all.

but i have came a long way. yes i still dont captialize when i should, and i have no clue where the ' button is.. but that dont make me less of a person.

and anno should be happy to know. next week they start weening me off of " LOL, ROFLMAO, and LMFAO "
i shall never laugh out loud, roll on the floor laughing my ass off, or laugh my fucking ass off again!
and im fine with that.
now if only the gansta's, and haxxor's can find a great bunch of guys to help them, like the ones i found at C.W.A.

Roadkill: i may appear more disturbed / angry than i am. i don't translate well over the internet. ALSO, the "scab on my soul" as you call it will probably heal as soon as i get my first crop of mushrooms...which hasn't happened yet....

But...ummm...he's right.
You even said:

when you must have meant to say:

Anyhow, I happen to agree with you that it is very annoying, and I?m relieved to know I?m not the only one here who knows when to use ?you?re? and ?too.? But there is nothing you can do about it, so just ignore it. Correcting mistakes or complaining about them can be pretty annoying too. You should just let it go unless it is an ?unforgivable? mistake.
I have only corrected spelling errors on the Shroomery twice; the first time when someone twice called another user ignorant, both times spelling it ?ignurant,? and a second time when someone had Bob Dylan?s name spelled wrong in their sig. I?m sorry, but how can you not know how to spell Bob Dylan?s name?! That is just a sin.

yes, obviously any misspelling or grammatical error on my part is going to be used against me. i can't believe i didn't put that "o" on "too." anyway...i'm mostly talking about people who can't spell AT ALL. i've seen some pretty scary stuff from people who have apparently smoked so much marijuana that they have forgotten how to speak...a common phenomenon.

sound like a dumb ass but i'll give you the benefit of the dizzydizoubt. it is a recorded phenomenon that marijuana, and other psychedelic drugs can supress one's ability to express oneself verbally in a coherent manner. i personally have experienced this on marijuana several times. i see things in a more "visual" way and it is difficult to put things into words.
