Thor.. Aw, damn.. I just saw this thread...
I would love to have mod priviledges. If you check through my posts, I think you'll find me to be generally helpful and respectful.
The main reason I'd like to have privelidges would be to fix non-linking URLs & pics. Whatever you need, though.. Can also help w/ server programming, SQL, etc..
Let me know if I can help.

I'd like to co-moderate the advanced forum or the other drugs forum......
i spend every day at least few hours....
I don't speak english very good but i'm sure u can do a good job.....at least locking illegal threads and moving the OT threads to the right forum....

Thor. I would be more than happy to moderate for the media forum if you need another person. First of all, I just love The Shroomery and I really care about it. I consider it my home on the web. Sure I've only started posting recently but I've been visiting here and using the fine resources for well over a year. I try to contribute in the forums when I can and I always make a conscious effort to stop misinformation. Finally, I am a communication arts major-- I study media so becoming moderator of the media forum is something I would really like to do. Just let me know if you need my help.
Sometimes we live no particular way but our own.

i wouldn't mind being an OTD mod if you are really looking for one more. i'm on here about 2 hours a day. i've got a high speed connection. i read every single post in OTD, sometimes even twice if there is a new response before i log off. i doubt i'll ever delete a post entirely, but i will lock it if it contains requests for illegal substances.
i also really like your 3 or 4 mod idea, it should make the mod's job a lot easier.

Ok, so here's where we stand at the moment. I have contacted all moderators to respond to me or risk losing their moderatorship...... So heres the list as it stands right now, any moderator with "?" behind their name means I haven't heard from them yet..... Any ( ) means vacant spot, so please mention what forums you want if you still don't have a moderatorship position...

yo this really is not intended as an insult to the fine people who have agreed to be mods...
but
in some ways, mods are like cops. if you want to be one, you're not appropriate for the position.

Hola fellas, I realize that I have not been around for years but I feel that I try to maintain an enjoyable attitude here. I am very opposed to the malicious flaming around here. Don't get me wrong, constructive debate is always beneficial. I spend almost all of my shroomery time in the "mushroom cultivation" forum. It looks like you have filled all the spots in there. Perhaps I might be kept in mind for the future. I believe in mushroom cultivation forum being a place for amicable sharing of cultivation expiriences. I get irritated with rediculous threads like "Can I grow on my own shit" and similiar rediculous crap like that! I read some people in this thread earlier mentioning that they would act different if they were made a moderator. I am less inclined to believe this. I feel that your personality should be well established before you are made a moderator. Someone who has a history of flaming and causing shit is not likely to make a paradigm shift because they are made a moderator. I am also not a believer in the idea that the # of posts one has in any indication of there expirience. Anyone can rack up post with one and two word diaharrea. I am concerned with occasional evidence of young kids on here. Some kids you would never know. Perhaps these young people are at a reasonable maturity level. Others are obviously kids and there IP addresses should be blocked. I do not believe in 7th graders messing with psycadelic drugs OR any other drugs for that matter. With few exceptions there minds are not mature enough to be shaded with these expiriences. One needs to learn some responsibility in there life before indulging in irresponsible (but fun) things. I believe in cultivation as a hobby and a means of focusing your energy. The fruits of your labor are fun too! I frequently get a little disturbed with the unnecessarily foul language. I am a trash mouth in my own home, but this is a forum shared be many people. Keep you foul mouth shut! It is a sign of immaturity if you cannot express yourself without sounding like a sailor. I have always tried to give advice with the best of my knowledge. I also have always tried to put an end to rediculous posts or flaming. I will continue to do this whether I am a moderator or not. I have been enlightened by being able to be a part of the shroomery. I try to be on here as much as I can. I appreciate all of you here who are interested in making this forum a good place of for us all. It is a hobby that is worthy of noting! It is too bad that the evil empire feels that one is bad if they indulge in it. Those people need to go into the forest and eat copious fungus! Thanks for the opportunity.....

Thor, If that last OTD position is open, I'd love. OTD is one of my fav's and I read ever post on it. Spend the bulk of my time there and Spiritual and Political. Have high speed connection. I don't believe in deleting threads altogether, but I'd lock it if it got too bad (attempting to sell illeagal substances would do it, as stated above).

dirtmaster, being a mod is not being a cop. we need rules that need to be followed and respected by all so everyone can come here and enjoy the shroomery. Yes, I know rules suck, but we have to have them. this place would be in total caos if we didn't. this is a community when a lot of people come together as a community, certain rules must apply in order to keep the peace.
I didn't want to become a mod to push people around, and police people, as long as people conduct them selves accordinly then there is no need for intervention on my part. are any moderators part, but the bottom line is that we all know thru experience that this is not always the case. that is why there is moderators here to make sure that we all can enjoy these boards. not just a few, but all peoples.
