And there you have the notes from Richard De Mille?s book.

Below are the four referneces for the four reviews which R. Gordon Wasson wrote regarding the first four Castaneda novels.

and folliwing that, all four were eventually reprinted in an issue of Head Magazine (Volume 2(4), hhich for some reason or other has disappeared from my files.

I will check later to see if I have those issues in my files from Economic Botany.

And then may post them for you at a later date.

A bibliography of Wasson?s reviews of Castanedas first four books.

Wasson, R. Gordon. 1969. (Bk. Rev.). Economic Botany vol. 23(2):197.
A review of Carlos Castaneda?s "The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge."

Wasson, R. Gordon. 1972a. (Bk. Rev.). Economic Botany vol. 26(1):98-99.
A review of Carlos Castaneda?s "A Separate Reality: Further Conversations with Don Juan."

Wasson, R. Gordon. 1973a. (Bk. Rev.). Economic Botany vol. 27(1):151-152.
A review of Carlos Castaneda?s "Journey to Ixtlan: The Lessons of Don Juan."

Wasson, R. Gordon. . 1974. (Bk. Rev.). Economic Botany vol. 28(3):245-246.
A review of Carlos Castaneda?s "Tales of Power."

Nice post, I think Castenadas publishers were eventually asked not to publish his books as fact but fiction.

Well I wanted to bring this post back tot he top of this forum since I was unable to put it into the origianl post which for some reson or other everyone seems to open, read and respond, thus missing this chance to read this paper.

I also noticed the Tim Leary paper disappeared real fast.

Oh well,

Another reference is Seeing Castaneda by Daniel C. Noel. The whole book is devoted to disproving Carlos. The author even wrote letters trying to have Castaneda's anthropology degree revoked on the basis that Don Juan was fiction and therefore not a valid thesis. Some comments
