Psilocybin Description

I found two shrooms today. These I believe may be what I've been looking for. They were goldish brown caps, with blusish/black gills on them. On the gills there was some kind of white cobweb looking substance growing on them. The stems were a darker purple/blue color and the stem had a small white ring growing around them near the cap. Any idea if this is what I may be searching for? The center of the cap also had a small button looking knot upon it.

First off, what were they growing from?

Take a spore print, if you don't know how to do this, check out the FAQ at the very top of the page, it's got lots of helpful information.

By your description, it sounds like you've found some sort of Agaricus, not a cubensis. Cubensis stems will briuse a blue to greenish color. Cubes grow from/around cow manure. They also have a dark puple veil, which is what leads me to believe that you do not have cubensis.

If the spore print comes out any color other than brownish purple, then keep on searching, it's not a Cube.

I was searching a place that is full of cow manure. I found them around cow dung. I am going to have to do some research on making spore prints, but I thank you for the tip

PSilocybine mushroom gills have no bluish in them. We would need o see a photo of them to give them a possible ID.

It is easy to pick a shroom and put it under a scanner at aKinkos without anyone seeing it. Then scan it and send it here to the shroomery.
