W's on transcript

So im graduating with my associates and i have 2 W's in unrealted courses to my field.

1 in music theory, fuck that class

and 1 in welding wich i retook and got an A in.

im about to drop chemistry and retake it, thats going to be a total of 3 W's on my transcript, do you think this will harm employment opprotunites with potential employers??

Won't hurt too much if you finish strong. I work for a college. As long as they aren't WFs than you should be good. It's all abouit the interview. If it comes up just explain your situation back in the day, or make something good up.

Good good, im going to talk to the head of my department who's also my boss and my course advisor lol, i will see what he thinks and if he seems to think it wont matter to much ima drop that class tomorrow!!!!

Yeah, just make sure it isn't already past the withdrawal deadline, because then you'll either get a WP or WF which will affect your GPA, and I'm guessing you'll get a WF since you want to drop it. I know at my college it's already past the deadline.

The deadline to drop the class is april 11th here, i actually have an A in the class but not after the massive massive ammount of work i decided to not do (wich is due tomorrow). I figuer i'll drop the class tomorrow morning, the policy of the school says that the W will not effect GPA but will remain on the transcript, if you retake the class there is still a W beside the course and year you dropped despite the grade.

True. I feel you man, I have 2 W's right now and a fucking D that I retook and got a C in, I suck at math. Besides that my college life is pimping, good GPA while maintaining a good social and work life. I'm more relaxed, I won't take more than 3 classes a semester. It works out good for me I think.



Edit- Yeah that shit about the transcript is completely right. I have NO idea how jobs take it though. I don't get too many requests for transcripts from work places, but I do at times. Usually they are government jobs. I know Google looks at even your high school transcripts, but they are fucking tough when it comes to hiring people.

I hope not, I have 7 Ws I think. Gonna retake two of them which will get them removed, but still, I'm sure I'll have one or two more before I'm done here.

yeah i do great in college, smoke tons of weed, get my dick wet, its good times but mannnnnnnn i dont need the added stress of driving up there tuesdays and thursday when its my only class that day and the least enjoyable class im in this semester.

If i drop it and retake it that means next semester is

College algebra
Chem 150
Pottery

then i graduate with my degree *does a jig*

Freshman forgiveness; replaces any grade on your transcript if you got a D or lower, including Ws, within 90 credit hours. At least that's how it's been explained to me :shrug:

Im automotive engineering, basicly desinging valve trains, running MTS units, dynos, sound testing in anochoic chambers.

No shit huh? I'll have to look more into it, I've never heard that about, at least not in FL. I know they do grade forgiveness on D's and F's but even then it will show up on your transcript as a repeated course.

Yeah, the automotive engineering field is easy shit, its not uncommon for people to graduate my college with the 2 year degree and head 10 man departments, my friend jake is working and heads a 4 man department and on the first day he had to figuer out why they had faulty window regulators. Talk about a gay first assignment, endurance testing on window regulators.... not happy times.
