Expenses
    #8170881 -

While i want to start eating healthy , and drinking healthy , most of this stuff is expensive as shit.
I want to dink nothing but juices , eat nothing but fruits vegetables and whatnot , with the occasional nice fat medium rare teak to go with it. But ive been looking and i really cant find an affordable plan for this stuff. Maybe i should grow my own vegetables and fruits?

Try drinking water. Juice is pretty expensive so you could use the money you would've spent on juice to purchase more fruit and veg or whatever else.

Hit up some farmers markets in the summer. Produce will be a lot cheaper then and even cheaper usually than what's sold in grocery stores because of transportation costs, etc. You could also try joining a farming co-op where you pay so much money to join or maybe just pay weekly and then put in some time at the farm. You come home with bags full of fresh produce all summer/fall if it's a good growing season.

Fresh produce can be expensive if you eat tons of it.

Why not eat grains and beans too? Go to the bulk store; you can buy weeks worth of food for ten bucks.

Yea, like WoodsCall said, skip the juice -- go for the water.  Juice usually has a lot of concentrated sugar and such in it, anyway.  You're always better off eating the whole fruit than just drinking it's juice.

If you get ~$10 rice and lentils and beans like Whiskey said, it'll definitely last you a lot longer than $10 of fresh produce.  If you don't want to spend so much money on the produce, you could try growing it yourself (very rewarding although time-consuming), going to farmer's markets, or buying from a less expensive grocery store or buying conventional vs. non-organic.  You can always buy the cheaper fruits by looking for what's on sale and what's in season.  Kale is pretty inexpensive, and really nutrient-dense.  I highly suggest eating kale.

Happy health! :tripping:

Sprouts - Cheapest, healthiest food out there. Organically, you can buy a bag of lentils for example, for 3 dollars, with enough sprouts to last you about two weeks if you eat two or three handfulls a day.

At first the flavour is really strong so just focus on the health benefits and the tasty waters in them.

After a while, you can eat them without anything and they taste amazing.

Sprout lentils, beans, grains, grow green(really fun, just grew buckwheat and they tatse good, organically cheap too.)

Seriously, this stuff will save you loads and will enhance your health ten fold.

Look up Sprouting on google.

And remember the computer does not appear to respond to words of anger and frustration - just give it input, in the form of new meanings that you know to be true and its messages to you and the limits it lays out for you, will change.

Guilt is an outcome of believing you are the cause of the problems.

Yet, we are not a cause to something, we see is negative or bad - Unless you believe your intentions are directed towards a bad outcome....

Sometimes in a summer you can pay to go picking for the day.

My mom used to take the whole family back in the day when I was like 7-10 years old. Basically you pay about 10$ per person, and you get about 5 hours of straight picking time. Choose your fruit beforehand and you get released into the farmland with all the fruit stalks. The only downside is the amount of bees are high around there. They supply the buckets and they even weight everything for you so you can see your total yield. Its really awesome and I planned on making it a new hobby to do once a year in the summer.

Usually I would make homemade ice cream and fruit smoothies out of everything I got.
