Living in the Same City as Your Parents...

Great for the laundry service and the home-cooked meals.

But terrible for Sunday afternoon calls from Mom that wake you up from a hungover sleep to tell you that she's stopping by in a few hours to say hello...

I've lived in the same city my whole life and so have my parents. They're divorced and when I was living in Manhattan my mom still lived in the borough of Queens but for about 4 years I lived within 4 or 5 blocks of my dad, that was definitely weird. We would run into each other on the street regularly.

My mom's afraid of downtown Denver.  Too fast she says.  :grin:

She lives in a really small town about an hour north of Denver.  They have one grocery store.

Yeah, only my Mom lives here.

My Dad's family lives in Chicago.

So it's only one to worry about.

And she usually can't make it down here by herself, since I live downtown and she won't come on the freeway.

But I guess she made it today!
