Who here has changed their screen name?

I really do not understand the desire to change a screen name.

Plus I'm curious as who has a new S.N that I already have talked with.

My screen name used to be, Lameflamer but i changed it about 2 months ago. I figured that I wasnt fooling anyone.

Because people get used to a person by their screen name.

If you change your name then people won't know who you are.

because i honestly just don't care what my SN is. haha


i really don't recognize screen names on msg boards. i usually just notice the avatar because it stands out more. and really i just glance at that while i read the post.. i think it is a sub conscious thing. i dunno

a few sns though i tend to recognize. here though.. im fairly new (specially in the Pub) so there is just a handful of ppl i recognize.

I changed mine from zzzRipVanWinkle to RipVanWinkle, nothing big.

When I first registered, it told me the name RipVanWinkle was already in use, so I tacked on three z's to the beginning.  Then when Ythan did that point system for a while I tried changing it to just RipVanWinkle, and I guess the last guy got deleted or something, because now thats me! :sun:

i havent changes just my name, but this is my third shroomery account. my first one i got in 1999, but forgot the passwd for and my netscape email addy died. my second one i made some bold cultivation threads that i wanted to get away from. this one i just used as my mod username and just helped, never making retarded cultivation threads. this is the only account i have used for 4 or 5 years now.

I was fed up with explaining to idiots that couldn't see the pun that I was referring to the amanita genus of mushrooms. They all assumed that it was either something to do with sharks or me eating dick.

So I chose an esoteric name from a cool constellation (and a not quite so cool greek myth).
