I ran into an old friend today,  haven't seen him in a very long time!  It just happens, he's been blowing glass. I managed to get my hands on a few for the show's!

Thanks,  i'll be going to the Alpine Valley and Detroit for sure and maybe the Deer Creek show too!

My friend gave me a really good deal on them,  he owed me favor from awhile back! I 'm planing on picking up some bubblers and jars before i head out too.  I  :heart: this brother!!!

a friend of mine took a glass-blowing class at the local institute of arts, and on the first day, the teacher said to the class, "OK... we are not going to learn how to make bowls in this class. If you want to make them, please book the lab outside of class time, pay the fee, and have fun... but please do not make any during class hours."

I bought a little glass pocket pipe last year for my salvia divinorum extract exploration, and really made a lot of effort shaping a screen for the gentle depression which is the bowl.
eventually I started trimming a screen, but had an insight while collecting the outer spiral of screen material.
for small pipes, the only thing to anchor your screen is the hole into the pipe, so:
I created a root shape (with a bit of hook to it) for down the hole and wound the rest of the screen trim spiral into a dish, and it worked perfectly. I tried it also on my minibong pyrimidal aluminum bowl and it worked there too.
Currently I use a tiny straight glass pipe for smoking cigarette paper with pure salvinorin in it, and I use a small twist of screen cutting to make that work as well.

why have you never introduced me to this friend of yours?!?!  looks like he knows what hes doing  :thumbup:.  I've known a few people that got into blowing glass, and they all would try to blow pipes but they would be so crappy...i know you need to learn how.  But this one kid would blow the shittiest glass pipes and try to sell them...this one dumbass bought one or 25 bucks...it was shaped all demented and bent weird and the bowl was all crapily made.  It shouldn't have even been bought for a dollar.  Whats funny though is later that day, he got pick pocketed for it by some dude.

i know, undercovers all over the place!! we were just sitting and chillin and this middle aged lady was walking around with a skyy blue or whatever and we were like "thats probably an undercover" and later on we say her sitting at the police hut thingy talking with other cops. that place has so much security...it sucks cause the lots are so big and great.

Hey Adom, I'll for sure be kickin' back at Alpine! Big time gathering, i expect...

but i didn't notice any troubles selling beer there last year... my pet giant squid was selling bell's beer and brownies (plus a jar of left over butter) at both of the phish nights there last summer, with no troubles at all.

a saw a number of vendors myself...for pipes i saw 1 guy walking around with a bubbler that i couldn't afford and RIGHT before the show started the second night we needed a pipe, i walked around for 30 minutes to 45 minutes around the lots and didn't find any but right as we were going to the show i saw a guy holding a TINY case with like 10-15 pipes and bought one. we needed one that night too, so we were in luck.
