good morning you little bird
singing just for me;
i envy you for playing as
you climb to the top of your tree

i lie here on my back just
basking in the sun
soaking up the morning, not
worried with what's to come

the trees are so naked,
open and revealed,
up against the lush green
grass a-livin' in this field
