For some reason I feel we've all been had by Gene Simmons. Everybody here agrees he has made a living for 30 odd years acting stupid and here he is...making his living, regardless of the content of this interview.


Who here has bothered thinking about Gene Simmons lately?

Its not offensive that he talks about how awesome it is, its offensive when he talks about being better than everyone else because he has money. Sure it would be great to have a lot of money and the leisure that comes with it, but I would never talk shit about the people who mow my lawn or paint my house. Not everyone gets to be rich Gene Simmons, you are lucky that you came of age in era where people where dumb enough to buy your bullshit albums.

And bullshit he worked hard for his money. He lucked out by being in the right place at the right time, and getting his band signed to a label that knew how to market the rest of the bands music. All he had to do after that was stand on stage on pluck out a few notes on his bass while getting drunk and acting like an adolescent. Even compared to the other "musicians" in Kiss, Simmons brings nothing to the table with his pathetic bass playing. And if you are unlucky enough to have heard his solo albums, you have already committed suicide and are not around to participate in this discussion.

I refuse to respect people just because they have money, and refuse to allow assholes who disrespect hard-working blue collar folks just because they aren't wealthy. This country is so goddamned greedy I feel like I'm choking sometimes.
