Court of the Crimson King lvied in my CD player for a solid year

I love king crimson, but honestly, do not start with court, it will raise your expectations FAR too high (only Red and Poseidon come close to capturing the majesty)

Yeah, awesome song.  Epitaph and moonchild take the cake for me though on the record.  My favorite kc album?  Larks .

I love Crimson. Seen them twice.

Also look for a band called the California Guitar Trio. They're touring about now and were schooled by Robert Fripp.

I fondly remember the first time i heard this song. I had XM and i think it was on deeptracks channel. I was driving around a familiar smoking route in kansas. Great song and great times. Thx for sharing.

Hell yeah, In the Court of the Crimson King is AMAZING. It is my favorite KC album, but like other said, In the Wake of Poseidon is very good and probably the most similar to ITCOTCK of all the others. Lizards seems pretty good too, I am going to give it a good listen here soon. Also, Red is amazing. As well as Larks. Really most all King Crimson rocks. Discipline has some good tracks too, Bruford the drummer on that album is greaaaaaaaaaat (its obvious that Danny Carey probably idolizes him... lol)

I really dig their '74 sound too.

And Groon is an amazing live album, though the sound quality kind of blows.

You guys should DL this track, Indiscipline, its a great track, Bruford is AMAZING on the drums.

This is a good recording of it live, which is better (IMO) than recorded and its extended.

:headbang:

-edit, any of you tool fans need to give this a listen, there is no doubt Danny Carey is influenced by this King Crimson drummer (Bruford). I do believe Carey lists Discipline the album as one of his top favorites, anyway its real good drumming to my ears

Excluding Court, either Red or Lizard

Red is heavy as shit and has some genuinely spacey moments, but Lizard has some great jazz influence, and the first track has that sort of medieval feel to it I got from Court

Listening to In The Court of the Crimson King (song) on mushrooms ranks as one of the most strangest experiences I've ever had

I talk to the wind is like the go-to chill song if you're stoned

Ironically, Robert Fripp was against the use of psychoactives (at shows, anyway)

Yeah, Court is probably my favorite one, but I REALLY like Larks tongues in aspic and Poseidon. I'm not so fond of Red.

I think so, he was probably just annoyed the cloud of thc that might've been disrupting people who didn't smoke

Keep in mind I got this off of SongMeanings, so the validity is disputable
