Moes outdoor from spores

willie was wondering if Moes outdoor tek could be sucessful starting from a syringe? Could one just spray a whole syringe into the hole with the hay and shit. i don't see why someone would need a colonized cake. Also could rice and other grains be used in place of the hay and shit or as a mixture of all of them. also when the patch was done flushing couldn't you just cook up some nutrient juice from steeping rice and beans like a soup broth. Can't speak to whether it would work from syringe, but as to why you would want to use the cake...well, I'm using a chunk of mycellium laced substrate that I would normally throw away. I think of it as recycling for maximum yield...

well a colonized cake garauntees that you will have live mycelium going. with spores you might or might get matches and might or might not have colonization. it is just more likely to be succesful by transplating mycelium.

seems like a worthy cause for a syringe.

unless you have a syringe with a boatload of spores and a perfect environment, then outdoor direct to substrate method is absolutly doomed to fail.
if you insist on trying an outdoor tek on these lines, then your best bet would be to get some spores to sprout in honeywater, and then use this to innoculate whatever you choose.
your other question was about substitute substrates. again doomed to contamnation. outdoors, your highly nutritive substrate is fair game to anything other than your mycelium, and doubtless, something will be able to out-compete for it.
most people use cake as spawn, because it is easier and more certain. also, remember that your outdoor condition is not likely to be the fast route to shrooms. nature does it her way not yer way
