moes outdoor tek

I wana try moes outdoor tek but cant find any uncomposted cow manure. Is it possible just to use composted cow manure like say black cow? or not.

Moe uses the shit that is basically the same as Black Cow. You can get bagged manure from Lowes, Walmart, Garden stores... It will work just fine. If you go into Advanced Cultivation, find a thread thats called something like "Store bought compost... Lets investigate". There are some posts about good success using the bagged manure.

So store bought compost works good? I have heard bad things about it already being overrun by other fungus molds so it wont work

I was gonna do the moe-tek but use the Scotts 3-in-1 cut, say 50/50 with verm or perlite. I would layer this with the spawn etc... Any reason this won't work?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is it necessary to pasteurize the compost if using outdoors? Thanks

I just seen that exact thing done a few days ago. Scotts 3-1 mixed with verm and spawn, it has colonized nicely. I will post a few pics soon.

The squirrels added the Scotts Wednesday. I cannot say for sure what grabbed a hold of it, there was a cake and a casing of different strains previously. The squirrels added the Scotts, threw a garbage can lid on it and let it go. They removed the lid tonight, the cooler air and storms must mean something.

Well, My goldfish just got done digging a hole and trying what I proposed above. He took an approximate 50/50 mix of Stott's 3 -in-1 and verm (with a couple handfulls of perlite.) and thoroughly mixed in four somewhat spent, but still viable, pf cakes that were crumbled well. Filled the hole, covered with a thin layer of plain 3-in 1/verm mix, covered this with a few leaves etc. to somewhat disguise it. It is located in a (tall) grassy area sort of behind a shrub. It gets some sun, but is hidden form the sun for most of the afternoon by this bush.
This is really just an experiment as my goldfish have never tried growing outdoors before. Can anyone tell me if they think this won't work and if so, why.
Also, it has been hot here lately... Of course he realizes that neglect can be better for this kind of thing than constant fiddlind around, but how often and how much should watering be done?

Sounds like it ought to work... I'd have had the goldfish mix in a shitload of wet hay, but, just keep it moist and be patient.
