Moe's Outdoor tek

i had a plant outside and i birthed a eq cake in the the pot with the plant in it.
it was potting soil (no nutrient value)
it only flushed less then a gram dry (something ridiculous like that)...its in the shade, its is humid, all thumbs are up...is it suppose to flush like that? i thought putting one cake in the ground would at least be better then just fruiting it as a cake in a terrarium...
it also says that the first flush sucks in moe's tek, hmmm i dunno if this applies to my situation, since i put it in potting soil and not in straw or anything...
whatever, MOE if your out there i need answers

Ok. Let me explain here. With Moe's tek, the secret is using compost and straw as a bulk substrate. Using potting soil with no nutrient value is not going to be able to help your yeilds. The only thing it did was help to hydrate your cake. Next time, try dedicating a flower pot to the experiment. Fill it up with a nutritive manure-based compost and straw. Innoculate it with your cake and wait. You'll get much better results.

yeah yeah i know it has NO NUTRIENT VALUE but shouldn't it at least produce as many mushrooms as verm casing? whats the deal, why was the flush so small?

I'm sure much energy was wasted attempting to colonize the massive amounts of non-nutritive substrate. The resultant flush indicated that there was not much nutrition left when it was time to fruit.
