Have some computer questions

So heres the situation: I got a mac book pro when I went to college and there are not enough computers at home so my dad is going to get another computer. I want to start gaming on my computer so I told my dad it would be cheaper for me to get a good PC than it would be for him to get a good mac, so he is taking my new macbook pro and I am getting a desktop PC.
Now heres the question, I do not want anyone in my family to know I have been on websites like shroomery. I keep my use of psychedelics personal because they would not understand and would think I am some low life drug addict. I would like to avoid any sticky situations so what precautions should I take before handing over my computer. Keep in mind I dual boot MAC OSX and windows XP, so I have to get rid of sensitive information on both sides. And wiping everything is not really an option because I have expensive programs like microsoft office that I dont want to lose.

So what exactly did clearing the cache do? My history is still there and I am still logged on on all of my websites. guess I will just have to clear the history and hope for the best. No one is going to be actively searching for where I have been, I just like to be safe

Yeah, when I said clear the cache, I meant cache and history.
If you're using Firefox, just go to Tools->Clear Private Data.
If you're really concerned, you can uninstall and reinstall your browser after clearing history and cache.

you could never get everything off it, there will be things there. But since your dad aint a computer genius he will be unable to retrieve, or even find this information.

ccleaner will clear all you cookies, history, temp files, download lists, everything, at least on the windows side.
I'm new to mac and don't know enough to help you with the osx though.
