pretty good idea if i must say so myself ;)

okk, just popped in my head and thot id post it:
this required the use of a heating pad ( i think i just scared about half the community away) i know you guys have your concerns about the drying out of cakes/casings (fruiting chambers) or drying out of jars (incubators) but if there's a small layer of water inside the tub, wouldnt that take care of the dry heat?

here goes my idea for both containers (fruiting&incubating)

FRUITING CHAMBER: in the fruiting chamber, alot of us use layers of wet perlite, and still have troubles with humidity, so why not put a heating pad under the fruiting chamber tub and itll help heat up the water on/in the perlite and help create alot more humidity, and also help with the temps

INCUBATOR: moist heating pad's, which use moissture as the heating element would be good, anyone ever tried these? (thats not the idea) idea for the incubator would be , again with a small amount of water in the tub, and maybe a oven rack or something to raise the jars, the water will take care of the dry heat while the humidity given off and the heat from the heating pad will take care of the temperature. the moisture and humidity from the heating pad & water will also add to the moisture in the jars to make sure that they wont dry out.

Anyone with any suggestions, comments, and/or ideas they might want to add? ]
I myself am still waiting for my heating pad to arrive, i orderred it from eBay. But the idea seems reasonable does it?
Thanks alot for reading this far.

-Victor

P.S: heh maybe ill call this -Victor's Heating Tek IDEA-

how about heatig pads with temp regulators? it sends a constant amount of electricity to kepe that temp up at a constant rate. maybe that'll work?

It would work if you hooked up to an adjustable thurmostat, but aquarium hearers already have that. It would work just as well, but more dificult and less convienent.
