Dry skin but I hate feeling greasy

It's dryer than a god damn desert in my building so my skin is starting to feel the wrath. I would use lotion but I have this weird quirk where I can't stand feeling oily or greasy, it just makes me feel dirty.
Anyone have any suggestions?

what do you use to wash your face?
just use a 'natural' facewash or moisturizing face wash when you wash your face in the morning..
i use that oxy with benzoyl peroxide.. like 10%
my face is gonna be hella oily no matter what it's in my genes, but it dries it out sometime..
make sure you are drinking plenty of water.. that always seems to help.

I use that St. Ives Apricot scrub, it's definitely worse when I wash my face so I wash my face less often now.

ya i've used that before.. those little beads and shit irritate my skin..
i mean you just kinda gotta shop around and find something that works for your skin type.
i mean if you want real advice, talk to a dermatologist

Buy a moisturizing soap. I use dove a lot during the winter because i suffer from the same thing. There are also a few lotions out there that evaporate pretty well and don't you feeling slimy (or smelling like a quart of hand lotion). I used st. ives a lot when i lived back east worked well and didn't leave me feeling too nasty.

Definitely. I used to have real dry skin and then I put a humidifier in my room and turn it one when I sleep, and only then. I still get a little bit dry now and then when it's real windy outside, but my hands don't crack anymore.
You can get real cheap humidifiers off ebay, craigslist, at goodwill, etc etc.

Yeah I saw this Frog Humidifier at Home Depot for $30 bucks yesterday!

You can find them online too, just do a google search for 'Frog Humidifier'
You'll have amphibian skin in no time!

Oil Free Lotion, expensive, but extremely effective in providing lucious moisture without any greasy feel!
For my face: Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture w/ SPF 15

yeah I was going to suggest that too.
I have the same problem in the winter, but since I'm a girl and I don't wear makeup, I get the oil-free lotion that also helps with acne, b/c my skin is hella sensitive to lotions and my pores will get clogged with regular lotion.
I still exfoliate every few days, but using a good oil-free lotion should help you out.
Nutrogena is a good brand, for dudes Nivia is even better (but expensive)... and I think Gillette came out with a line of face care products for dudes, but I couldn't tell you if they're any good or not, but they'll probably be cheaper.

For hands I swear by Cornhuskers. I suffer in the winter from eczema on my hands and this stuff works without being greasy. My hands soak it up.
For the face I like Eucerin or biore. But I use a toner beforehand. It helps get rid of oils on the face.

Get a humidifier! Also, I use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion--it's not greasy at all and it works really well. It's a face cream, but I get eczema on my knuckles and elbows and I use it there too.
