HELL YEAH!!!!
Being out on the lake is one of the best ways ever to trip IMO.
Last summer me and my girl rented a paddle boat for the day and went out on a TRIP.....about 3 hours into it we got severely sunburnt and started going in a bad way......she started bawling and I spent the rest of the day comforting her 
It's much funner with my boys

I do agree that I have better visuals at night and that tripping outside when it is hot or cold is not very pleasant. However, I find that my mood is better during the daytime and I feel more euphoric as a result. Also, my mind is fresher and well rested. I find it is easier to ponder the mysteries of life at "high noon" than it is at midnight.

You see, it's all in the planning... Who says you have to get up in the morning on the day of the trip? I sleep all day and get up at 4pm, then start my trip at dusk.
On the boat I have a power inverter to run not only the home stereo, but also the blender that I use to blend the shrooms with the iced tea or hawaiian punch or sunny delight. My tracks are all on custom burned CD's so I don't have to skip the unwanted songs.
Set, setting, PLANNING, timing.

The BEST part is the TROLLING MOTOR!! It is capable of PIVOTING the boat (making it spin on the surface) at a rate of 1 revolution every 7 seconds, so that THE STARS TURN AROUND!!!! (along with the horizon). A totally WILD TRIP experience when combined with the headphones, great tunes and fresh air.

Sounds like a hell of a time..
Wish I had some friends to take me tripping on a motor boat, but im not sure if I could trust myself under a heavy trip while surrounded by deep waters..
