Super Stressed Pedros?

Quick question about neglected San Pedro's...
At what point does a stressed pedro become TOO stressed? I have heard that stressing a San Pedro will cause the mescaline content to rise, but when does this mescaline increase drop off? And if it does drop off significantly the longer it is stressed, how much potency will be lost?
I am asking because there is a dealer on the web right now selling a batch of San Pedro's that they are calling the Super Stressed strain... "neglected for 2 years without any attention". From the pic it looks like they are grown outside... some yellowing, but nothing too intense. Is it worth it to purchase a cutting of the Super Stressed strain if it fits the budget better? They are trying to get rid of some 15,000 lbs of this stuff, so they are getting rid of them at a good price.
Any info would be awesome! We want to order it by tomorrow, so if this is a mistake... let me know fast.

well if they were just grown outside that does not mean they are super stressed, even if cacti was left alone out side for 2 years(how they are in the wild) they will be very happy and not super stressed
sounds like a marketing gimmick and it seems to be working:-)

Stressing does work, from what I can gather.
But you only want to stress your Trichocereus about 6 months before it's time to harvest.
Not their entire lifes.
The increase in potency is probably mostly due to water loss.
How to stress a Trichocereus-
~ Give it a boast of Organic fertz. (Just Pee on it) (I'm serious)
~ Stop watering it for 6 months.
~ Cut out a few aeroles
~ Poke holes in it with toothpicks.
~ Wrap it with wire.
P.S.- Don't urinate on it too much. Once or twice will do.

After looking back, maybe they are in a green house or something... It says they were left neglected for 2 years in really harsh conditions... They definitely look a little less healthy than the others for sale on their site...

as farfromhere said... the increase in potency is mainly due to water loss, so in terms of buying cacti by weight for consumption, buying dehydrated "stressed" cactus is definately the way to go...

Im not too sure about peeing on them, not many plants like urine - especially cacti.
I heard they cannot tolerate high nitrates (urine is full of nitrates). Maybe the nitrates stress it?
Meh, im no expert!

I dont think those are your vendor's pictures either.
mod edit: nice try. the rules are simple: we do not discuss vendors in this forum.

Those plants look rather happy. Stressed pedros are thin, yellow and have fallen/shriveled arms.

well the site is not listed nor it is allowed to be listed because vendor discussion is not allowed so my guess is that your question is going to remain unanswered unless other members know which site it is from the pics.

Mine were sent out DHL
That means I probably wont be getting mine 'til mid week next week.
It says right on the site they use USPS, but for some reason this went out DHL.
Do they seem to be dried out at all? Loss of water weight?
