San Pedros popping up - dispite neglect
    #4293422 - 06/13/05 11:58 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I sowed 8 pedro seeds about a month ago.

Our cute yet naughty kitty dug up everything I had germinated on my dresser.. Basil, Yopo, Lettuces, and the Pedro.

I flattened the soil that was left in the potters, set them on a shelf and forgot about them(figured the kitty kiled it all).

Today I was cleaning and about to toss it all in the compost. and low and behold was 2 cute little bright green stubby bumps in the middle of the basil pot. Gotta be Pedros!!

They germinated in a mix of 1/2 peat and plain planting soil that was left dry for a month. Wow!! I love Cactus!!

I gave em a little mist tonight.

Funnier still is I prepared a sterile sandy mixture to make a second attempt with new seeds.

So, should I transplant these or leave well enough alone??

How long do you wait till you transplant them into pots separately

taproot is the first root a plant of any kind will ever get, its what comes out of the seed.
