Above ground outdoor patch?

Do you think if I were to build containment walls with 4 wooden boards, with no bottom, on the ground under a wooden porch that I could adapt Moe's outdoor tek so that I wouldn't have to dig a big hole?

I want to do a large patch, about 3 feet square, but the best place for me to put it would be a real pain in the ass to dig out.

Should work..... only thing is that it won't spred as much as it would in the ground. It would still spred though since you are leving the bottom open and all the shit juice is pouring down... but i don't know if it would survive the winter if you have a strong winter.

Moe does it outdoors (and I think I even read indoors) in flowerpots, so I don't see why it wouldn't work.
My friend is doing something similar. He dug a few inches down in one of those basement "window well"s" on the side of his house. He put spawn/poop/etc. down there and now patiently awaits results in a few weeks. We'll see...

Well I just gots me some Scotts 3 in 1. I'm getting ready to start about 2 dosen EQ half pint BRF jars. I'm going to be using them as spawn in my outdoor patch.

These 2 EQ syringes are my first attempt at making my own syringes, so I may need a little extra luck.

I made a glove box out of a 16 quart sterilite tub to make my syringes in. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I got 168 pounds of Scotts 3n1(6 cubic feet).

I wonder if I'll need to add vermiculite to aerate it.
