Patience with outdoor patch
    #2854980 - 07/04/04 12:21 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

How long should one normally have to wait for fruits to form from an outdoor patch? The mycelia has been colonized very near to the topsoil for a good 2 weeks (I found out after removing a piece of straw sticking out of the ground and finding nearly al of it being coated in mycelia) and the weather has been around 60's at night for the past week coming into the 80's this week with very high humidity. I've been watering the patch and can smell a mushroom odor at the ground. I was thinking that perhaps slugs have been consuming the pins as I have found the occasional hole in the soil from where a slug fed. Any thoughts, or am I just getting ahead of myself?

Just relax.

How long has it been since you thought the mycelium was close??

I was getting ready to case mine, and on the day I was about to I saw pins(cold weather that week)

Less then week later, I had the shrooms I do now

If my friend J wasent so lazy I would have pics of the patch(thanks DICK  ) but I do have pics of the shrooms (after picking)  which I will upload.

(so meaty and pretty thses shrooms  )

It seems I spoke too soon. Just this morning I finally found a small patch of mycelia and pins at the top of the soil  :crazy2:
