No clue, but mostly because I'm having the same problem. Additionally, anyone know anything about a talking digital? I'm visually impaired. This would be tremendously helpful to me.

There's usually some going for around $30 on ebay which will do .01 and 200 grams. Good enough for me anyway. Check em out

Why? A scale generally has a range and an accuracy. Usually these are in opposition to one another. A highly accurate scale will generally have a very small range while a scale with a large range will generally have relatively poor accuracy.
If you are measuring small things that need a lot of accuracy, such as RCs, then you are going to pay a lot of money for a scale that is both accurate and has a large range.
Avoid the "gem scales" and other crap they offer in head shops. Take a look at ebay or labx to get an idea of what people are offering. I used to use an acculab digital scale with a 200g range and 0.01g accuracy. New, it cost me around $100 with shipping and came with a calibration weight. Diploid had a post a while back where he recommended a company that sells scales...

I got my 100g, .01 increment, 2 weights included scale off e-bay for $20. It has served me well.
