    #7904502 - 01/20/08 02:17 AM (16 years, 12 days ago)

ok well heres the pics you guys asked for.
these suckers looked kinda weather dammaged so im sure its gonna be hard to id without sporework.
the cap is a strange redish brown with lil flakes peeling, with clay brown gills, and im pretty sure casgoodie said hes having a hard time printing them. the stems were covered in dirt and were weird flakey too, the shit peeled off when i tried to wash them.

and casgoodie digging truffles

I'm just messing. In some instances I understand keeping a low profile... though I don't really know the circumstances, so it's your call.

I've had just that same experience, except, replace I. calamastrata with Clathrus ruber eggs!
I was checking my shoes for dog shit.

Well, not exactly the same story. I just had random mushrooms sitting in a box in my room. Hehe.

whao , this is and old thread , but i will not missed for nothing, you can see  i was a bit  busy ,  but this really call my attencion welcome to the domaind  of inocybe where most remaing  misterius ,
those are the most  big and blue i have even seem in  usa, :tripping:
did you save that location in you internal gps concius, since this mushrooms tend to grow in this area for years, i have see in the specimen i find here  clearly  2 variations,
i wanna know what is happening withthis guys they grow all over to costa rica or at leat what  micologist call calamistrata will be many species in future, a spore check is a most sorry to say  this too late,
the fishy  smell is so  comond  i tell this to alan , but  dont know if he notice that , the ones from colima are more fishy  ,
the bluing reaction is always in the base the scaly cap is always present sometimes more visible  or more smoth by rain, the scaly  go in the stem too but not so profuse.
they  may be sometimes micorrizic  and  specially here of  oaks , but  we found in abies or fir  in colima .
yes dry then  fast , i dont like the smell either,so that why i dry fast.
i almost eat some this seasom since are like 4 seasom since i have been finding this  ones, but  will be lovely to see analisis of this species, maybe they containg aurogisine, sorry if  i miss spell

all my best vibrations to you guys  may  the road of inocybe teach you more than me ..
