help with cardboard 1

So i want to take a bit of colonized grain and put it onto cardboard using the cloning cardboard tek. now it says that Cardboard is semi-selective towards mycelium growth, if i added a very little bit of agar wheat malt to the water the cardboard soaks in would this make it easier for mycelium to grow/spread? if it dose i understand that it will also make it easier for contaminations to grow, but i plan on doing this completely sterile. is this step 100% completely not worth it? or should i try just for the sake of experimentation. The tek was also made for live tissue which was said to dunk in a 10% peroxide solution. is this necessary if i am using colonized wbs.and my last question is if the mycelium i want to use has been outside in 30 degree weather for 5 days is it still usable has it died, or gone into a dornmant stage?

thanks for the link.. I think i forgot about that tek. I think I would still prefer the sterile enviro of an agar petri dish though. i;mt not really sure about cloning with WBS? uhm wouldnt you just want to do a g2g or maybe an g2lc?

Why do you want to spawn your grains to cardboard again?
Edit: I didn't read through the whole thread. Just so you know, this isn't cloning. It's spawning to cardboard. If you want to clone, you need to use actual mushroom tissue.

Really, no reason other then i haven't used cardboard before, dose that mean the questions shouldn't be answered? i asked nice
" this isn't cloning. It's spawning to cardboard. If you want to clone, you need to use actual mushroom tissue. "-- i never called it cloning i just said i used cardboard cloning tek, c'mon im not a noob like that. if you could answer my questions the it would be great though.

I'm not sure why you're all pissy over my comment. It wasn't a stab at you. To answer your main question, yes I don't see why it wouldn't work. But even if you aren't cloning, it still doesn't make much sense to me that you would bother doing that. Now if you wanted to spawn your seed to a BIG pile of wet cardboard and see what would happen, your experiment might seem a little cooler.

see that would be a waste of grain to me.. im using a total of 40 colonized grains stuck to the top of a jar to do 4 peices of cardboard to see if it would work... i have never read of using an agar mixture with cardboard.
