Cardboard cloning tek
    #3969442 - 03/25/05 03:51 PM (18 years, 10 months ago)

Haven't used agar yet so i'm trying this one out...

This is an exerpt from the "cardboard cloning tek"

"Place the dunked tissue deep into one of the ribs in the cardboard piece, to maximize contact area."

Here's the link http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/25944

Anyways, I've noticed (look at the first pic on the link) that the cardboard has two sides...It says to take off on, so i did. Now I got to the part where i "boil" in the microwave, that's going fine, but i noticed that the other "flat" side was glued on as well, it just fell right off the ribbed side...Just curious if i'm using the wrong cardboard or something lol, I don't want to mess it up, does anyone have any comments about the tek itself or just any input? I'd like to kno that i'm not wasting all of my time :smirk: thanks guys..

Also, could I spawn this to more cardboard and fruit some woodlovers on it? I'm sure i wouldn't get a decent flush due to lack of nutes, (does cardboard even have nutes?) but some would be great...
Thankx everyone
Take it easy

Edit : It said to use a certain soultion (10ml of 3%perioxide w/ 90mls of water), i did that and my tissue sample seems to have started fizzing when i dunked it (for like 3 secs)..Have i harmed the tissue? :frown:

Take a piece of cardboard and split it, you'll have that ribbed surface you need.  Cardboard cloning works great

What i said up there was basically - I split it in half, so now one saide flat, one side w/ ridges...When i boiled, the ribbed side and the flat side parted, so now all i have is this wannabe rigged part lol...

I'm about to make another clone and i want to make sure that atleast one makes it

Thankx for popping my thread cherry diver  :humpme: :craven: Heh,

1)that would be a cool grow.. like how RR grew some out of a bible, and used money as a casing layer or something. give it a shot.. may have to stack the cardboard. lol

2)doubt it. something to google i guess.

3)i dont think it harms it.. but the fizzing is normal
