Druids and the like..

a recent mushroom trip really made me delve into the realm of fantasy. In a time much earlier than ours people actually shared living rooms with wildlife. Walking through a densely wooded college campus I began to realize that it wasnt always as fucked up as it is. It used to be natural (I think at one point i got caught up in the idea that even man-made things are natural and found how we too often place ourselves above "nature"..which i then deemed a fake word) there used to be bears and wolves and other frightening beasts.

Well we sure have done a good job at separating ourselves from them..but think back to a time where it wasnt always as disgusting as now. Think about the first people to build relationships with bears--real beast masters.

I just thought I would share my reflections with you and hear some of your beliefs on some of these almost dead ideas (are dragons some sort of story of the last dinos on earth?)

the first time i really connected with Nature,* was on a mushroom trip.
I realized Nature was everywhere - peering up through the cracks in the sidewalk, supporting all of Us.  No matter how we gouge her, and cover her up, the Earth will take it until She can take no more. It was a very powerful feeling knowing that no mater where I walked, there was 'earth under me' (I was on shrooms, :mushroom2:)

- I have always tried to live as green as I could - and respect my part of the world. I have always been an optimist, and hope that my small acts would inspire others. ooD


*this is of course after I became an adult - I believe all children, if nurtured, are connected to nature, until they are told to 'grow up' and stop talking to spirits/imaginary friends

i had similar feelings to you...but while you focused on the physical ideals of nature i was more intrigued with peoples beliefs, descriptions, and labels on all natural things...i began to feel that every theory/label applied to each and every unique thing took away from its oneness


it was quite a unique and mind opening experience to me and one that will hopefully open up a lot of new doors...a recent acid trip changed my vibrations to receive crystal energy and i have since been experimenting with mediation and healing through them
