Dead Accounts

There are 2309 users who have never logged in. Maybe we could delete these inactive accounts after a month or so of inactivity.

Users who have a post or two, leave 'em be....I guess, but if an account has never even been used it's just a waste of space. Just a thought.

If a person doesn't log in 2 weeks after reserving a name, then it should be deleted anyway... and it should be shroomery fucking law.

From the 15663 registered members only 9449 have been online last year, that means that 6214 didn?t log in in the last 365 days.

Good idea! The process could be automated. A warning e-mail should be sent, and if no reply is received in two weeks, then the account would be automatically deleted.

I don't see how inactive accounts make this place seem stronger. I think it makes the place seem weaker. If people see that over 6000 people never bothered with their account, who's to say THEY should, too?
It's probably quite a waste of space also. I say they should be deleted.

I see your point. I really do. But some of us can't get in every day or every week. That would suck if I had to re-sign up because I couldn't get in for 6 weeks. Maby half a year?

On the other hand, I can assure you that only 1 day worth of the OD posts uses more space than all those accounts....

Just to set this clear, we don?t really consider(at least i don?t) deleting any accounts that already have post.
Even if the users register and then don?t bother to use the account for months, then those accounts will be deleted.

Yea, I'm not talking about accounts that have been used. Like the dude who signed up and forgot about it for three years... I'm talking about accounts with ZERO posts.
