Hey everyone
I was just wondering what kinds of edibles look similar to cubes? Someone made a post a few weeks ago with some that looked a lot like cubes but I can't find it! I am just interested to know which legal shrooms look like cubies.

Yeah, its strange. The only two fungi on our 'prohibited plants list' is Ps. Cubensis and Ps. Mexicana....ironic, considering neither of these species grow in NZ and these laws were made long before home cultivation was popular (well, here in NZ it still isn't popular / heard of)..yet none of the magic mushrooms that DO grow here are illegal...I think it was a case of 'lets just steal Americas laws, yeah, thats easy'

That was the wording in the original Misuse of Drugs Act. It was amended in 1987...now it says something like "any fungus of the genera Conocybe, Panaeolus or Psilocybe from which a controlled drug can be produced or which contains a controlled drug..." You might still be able to get away with possesion of fresh Gymnopilus sp tho...

Thanks dude, thats interesting info. Where do you find this? I want to look up some various laws, is there a website for it for NZ ones or did you find this at the library?

This is the most up to date one I could find:

Misuse of Drugs Act as amended up to 1990

And HERE you can find an index of amendments up to 97.

It still doesn't cover everything tho...for instance, MAF have their own list of "interesting" prohibited plants (Peganum harmala, Ephedra sinica etc...)

Our laws seem pretty harsh compared to other countries...God defend the nanny state
