aborts?

ok i have a cake its beeen growing for like 3-4 days now. there are alot of mushrooms on this cake and there might be an abort or two. Now do aborts cause contamination? Do i need to be worried about picking these aborts if i'm sure it is one? Can i just leave the abort there untill i'm ready to pick the cake? and when i pick the abort i heard you can do somthing with it to start a new jar what would i do i'f i wanted to use an abort to colinize a brf jar. If you can answear these question it would be most gratefully.


I know this question dosn't fit this post but i don't want to make a new one for a basic question like this. I am like totally broke any type of money what so ever is going to this trip i have in two weeks. The question is that i have to vermiculit and i read somewere that those clay pots for gardening can be used beacause they hold in moister. Did i misunderstand or will these clay pot subsitute for vermiculite.
