One thing that doesn't work at bigger ski resorts, but does work on smaller (cheaper) ones without the barcodes and scanner-equipped lift operators,

the local ski slope (nothing spectacular, not worth $25 lift ticket for 3 hills), had black text on white background for lift tickets. So, the text was duplicated in the same font/size/spacing on a computer, then printed onto label paper (has an adhesive backing).

Once labels were printed, wax could be rubbed onto the label to make it water-resistant, then the sticker (with current date) stuck to an old lift pass. I think they caught on to this somewhat, as sometimes lift operators would go through the line marking up tickets with a sharpie to see if they bleed, but the wax coating prevents this and the tickets pass unless one gets a good look up close.

Although I haven't felt inclined to go in the past few years, used to make philly folk fest (big thing locally here) in the same manner, using card stock and elmers glue spread over the surface to make it gloss.

And to the people who print fake money to buy drugs off unsuspecting drug dealers, if you are lucky they will throw out the money or use it on someone else, in either case printed money is a felony with stiff penalties, not really worth it for some drugs.

Oh, and I think it's pretty ingenious, whoever thought of putting a device on ATMs to capture magstripe and pin... that's craziness! If I ever foun

at colleges and universities you can go around campus and look for unattended books. like in the restroom when people leave thier books and bags on a shelf while they take a piss.

grab the books and sell them back to the book store. college books are pretty expensive. you can usually get like $50 per book.
